Visitors must scan a barcode at automated entry gates
The Prophet’s Mosque Agency, in partnership with relevant bodies, has launched a new digital system for visiting the Rawdah Sharif in Madinah.
Visitors need to register via the Nusuk platform and will be guided through the process in multiple languages. Confirmation messages and timely reminders will be sent about their appointment.
Upon arriving at the Prophet’s Mosque, visitors are directed towards designated entrances and assistance is provided by trained staff.
To access the Rawdah Sharif, visitors scan their barcode at an entry gate, then move to a waiting area before joining the entry queue. Inactive permits will lead visitors to be directed away from the entry point.
Special pathways are available for those with disabilities, and visitor capacity is carefully managed. Information screens in multiple languages explain visiting etiquette, and comfortable waiting areas are arranged.
Visitors proceed through organized routes to the prayer area, and exit upon completion of their designated visiting time.
Advanced digital systems, including smart cameras and sensors, monitor entry and exit movement and visitor counts, displayed on thermal and geographic maps.
Control rooms with various stakeholders manage crowds, ensure coordinated visits, and provide rapid responses to congestion, constantly striving to enhance the visiting experience.
