Saudi aid agency KSrelief distributes thousands of food packages to vulnerable communities amid ongoing crises.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated significant food distribution efforts targeting vulnerable populations in Syria, Sudan, and Lebanon.
As reported on March 23, 2025, the agency has delivered essential food packages as part of its ongoing humanitarian projects during Ramadan.
In Syria, KSrelief distributed 143 food packages to families in Qatana, located in the Rif Dimashq governorate.
This aid was part of the Etaam Ramadan Food Basket Project, which aims to alleviate food insecurity during the holy month.
Further distributions included 259 food baskets in Shinshar village of the Homs governorate, benefiting a total of 974 individuals.
The Etaam project is in its fourth phase, with plans to distribute over 390,000 food parcels across 27 countries.
The initiative aims to support approximately 2.3 million people and has an allocated budget exceeding SR67 million (approximately $17.8 million).
In Sudan, KSrelief extended its reach to Port Sudan, where it provided 430 food packages to assist 2,395 needy and displaced individuals.
This distribution reflects the agency's commitment to addressing the humanitarian needs arising from ongoing conflicts and crises in the region.
Moreover, in Lebanon, KSrelief distributed 800 shopping vouchers and 500 food baskets within the Akkar governorate, aimed at supporting 3,300 individuals facing food shortages.
This initiative underscores the challenges faced by communities in Lebanon, which has been grappling with multiple socio-economic crises.
KSrelief's humanitarian efforts aim not only to provide immediate food assistance but also to enhance food security among communities significantly affected by conflict and displacement.
