A major international flag football exhibition featuring Tom Brady and several current and former National Football League stars has been relocated from Saudi Arabia to the United States as escalating conflict in the Middle East disrupts travel and event logistics across the region.

The Fanatics Flag Football Classic, originally scheduled for March twenty-one at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, will now take place in Los Angeles.

Organizers shifted the venue following rising security concerns linked to the regional war, which has triggered airspace disruptions, travel advisories and wider logistical complications for large international events.

The tournament was designed as a flagship global showcase for the rapidly growing sport of flag football.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion who retired from the National Football League in two thousand twenty-three, is expected to return to the field for the exhibition alongside a roster of prominent players and sports personalities.

Participants are expected to include a mix of current and former NFL athletes such as Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Tyreek Hill, Odell Beckham Jr. and Rob Gronkowski, with teams led by high-profile coaches including Pete Carroll, Sean Payton and Kyle Shanahan.

The event is planned as a three-team round-robin tournament played under international flag football rules.

Los Angeles has emerged as the natural replacement venue, with BMO Stadium widely expected to host the competition.

The stadium is scheduled to stage flag football events during the two thousand twenty-eight Summer Olympic Games, where the sport will make its official Olympic debut.

The exhibition was initially conceived as part of Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season, a wide-ranging cultural and sporting program that has brought major international events to the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia has invested heavily in hosting global sports competitions and entertainment spectacles, positioning the country as a rapidly growing hub for international sport.

Organizers have indicated that the relocation is driven by safety and logistical considerations rather than a cancellation of the long-term concept.

The tournament will still proceed on its original schedule, providing a high-profile platform for flag football ahead of its Olympic debut.

Despite the change in location, the event remains intended as a major global showcase designed to introduce new audiences to the sport and bring together elite athletes and entertainment figures for a fast-paced exhibition of one of football’s fastest-growing formats.
