Saudi National Campaign for Charitable Work Reports Significant Donations in Ramadan

The Ehsan platform's fifth campaign focuses on mosque projects, Umrah trips, and Zakat Al-Fitr donations.
The fifth National Campaign for Charitable Work, organized on the Ehsan platform during the month of Ramadan, continues to generate substantial donations aimed at enhancing mosques and worship services.

Recent reports indicate that the campaign has funded over 3,000 Umrah trips, constructed five new mosques, maintained 46 existing mosques, and provided essential resources to an additional 12 mosques, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Donations can be made through the Ehsan platform at ehsan.sa or by contacting the donor service center at 8001247000.

The Ehsan platform has expanded its services to include digital acceptance of Zakat Al-Fitr donations, facilitating timely distribution to eligible recipients throughout the Kingdom.

This initiative adheres to the charitable guidelines established by Ehsan's Shariah Committee, chaired by Royal Court Adviser Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mutlaq, who is also a member of the Council of Senior Scholars.

Donors are able to specify the administrative region and number of recipients for Zakat Al-Fitr donations via the Ehsan app or website, ensuring coordination with local authorities across all regions.

The Zakat Al-Fitr distribution efforts are part of the larger fifth National Campaign for Charitable Work and aim to bolster community support during Ramadan while fulfilling religious duties.

In terms of high-profile contributions, King Salman has donated SR40 million ($10.6 million), while Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has contributed SR30 million as part of the campaign.

To date, total donations have surpassed SR1 billion.

This campaign underscores a strong commitment within Saudi society to unity, solidarity, and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan, with contributions coming from individuals, corporations, institutions, and philanthropists.

As of the current campaign, over SR1.8 billion has been raised through a total of 15 million transactions, highlighting the Kingdom’s leading role in charitable initiatives and sustainable development efforts.
