KSrelief Launches Extensive Ramadan Food Aid Initiative
Thousands of food packages distributed to vulnerable communities across multiple countries
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has commenced a widespread distribution of food packages aimed at assisting vulnerable populations in several regions around the world.
On March 22, 2025, reports confirmed the delivery of these aid packages as part of the Etaam Ramadan project.
In the Syrian Arab Republic, KSrelief coordinated the distribution of 840 food packages across multiple governorates.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by the organization to alleviate food insecurity during the holy month of Ramadan.
Additionally, in Lebanon, 190 food packages were allocated to Syrian refugees in the town of Shebaa, assisting approximately 950 individuals in need.
This effort was complemented by the distribution of 190 parcels in southern Lebanon, which supported an additional 900 beneficiaries.
In South Africa, KSrelief extended its outreach to families in Vereeniging, where 400 food packages were distributed.
Further, the aid agency delivered food packages to 600 families in the Baljuvon district of Tajikistan, strengthening support for communities facing food shortages.
The Etaam Ramadan project, now in its fourth phase, aims to distribute over 390,000 food parcels across 27 countries throughout Ramadan, estimating a total benefit for about 2.3 million people, with a financial commitment exceeding SR67 million (approximately $17.8 million).
In Yemen, KSrelief also distributed 4,050 cartons of dates in the Aden governorate, aiding approximately 24,300 people, thereby expanding their humanitarian efforts in the region.
This project reflects the organization's commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting vulnerable populations globally during critical times.
