Saudi Arabia Enhances Crowd Management at Grand Mosque for Ramadan
New designated routes implemented to facilitate worshippers during the peak of Ramadan.
As the final ten days of Ramadan approach, a significant increase in the number of worshippers and Umrah performers is anticipated at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
In response, the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has established organized entry and exit routes to manage the flow of visitors effectively and minimize congestion within the area.
Key access points have been marked for easy identification, notably the King Abdulaziz Gate (1), King Fahd Gate (79), and King Abdullah Gate (100), all serving as the primary entrances for worshippers to access the mosque.
Worshippers wishing to enter the Mataf, the area designated for circumambulation around the Kaaba, are advised to utilize the Shubaika Bridge, Ajyad Bridge, and the entrance at Al-Arqam Bridge.
Exiting from the Al-Masa’a area, worshippers have several designated exits available on both the ground and first floors.
These include the Al-Safa Gate (13), Prophet Mohammed Gate, Al-Marwah Gate, Al-Marwah Bridge, and the Al-Marwah Wheelchair Bridge, ensuring accessible egress for all individuals.
The measures implemented aim to enhance the overall experience for the millions of visitors expected during this holy month, reinforcing the commitment to provide a safe and orderly environment for worship.
