Recognition of Saudi and Pakistani Entrepreneurs at Riyadh Ceremony
Event celebrates contributions to Saudi Vision 2030 and strengthens ties between Saudi Arabia and the Pakistani diaspora.
RIYADH: The Pakistani Executive Organization for Promotion of Leadership and Entrepreneurship, known as PEOPLE, hosted a sahoor and award ceremony in Riyadh to honor distinguished Saudi and Pakistani entrepreneurs, executives, and business leaders for their contributions to Saudi Vision 2030.
The ceremony highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Saudi nationals and the Pakistani community in trade, investment, and other sectors, with participants expressing optimism regarding the future strengthening of these ties.
Notable attendees included Princess Nourah Al-Faisal Al-Saud, Assistant Minister of Investment Ibrahim Al-Mubarak, and Esra Assery from the Ministry of Media, along with prominent figures from the Pakistani business community.
Faisal J. Abbas, Editor-in-Chief of Arab News, acknowledged the importance of PEOPLE as a platform for entrepreneurship and leadership.
During the event, awards were presented to individuals who made significant contributions to Saudi Arabia’s economic advancement through their professional endeavors.
Mehmood Khan, chairman of PEOPLE, and Kashif Khan, president of the organization, noted Saudi Arabia’s rapid economic growth and the numerous opportunities available for Pakistani professionals within the Kingdom.
The organization aims to bridge entrepreneurs and professionals from Saudi Arabia with the Pakistani diaspora, promoting entrepreneurship, networking, and mentorship for young people while supporting the objectives of Vision 2030.
Princess Nourah emphasized the robust ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting expanding trade and investment links, and the advantages of shared experiences between citizens of both countries.
Majid Mufti, CEO of NEOM Investment Fund, underscored the importance of the partnership between the two communities.
The event was co-hosted by PEOPLE and Key Facilities Management Saudia.
Junaid Khan, CEO of Key Facilities Management Saudia, articulated his commitment to giving back to Saudi Arabia in gratitude for the support he received during his professional journey and noted the increasing demand for facilities management services anticipated in the coming years.
Atif Khurshid Khan, senior adviser at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, addressed the transformative changes occurring in Saudi Arabia and the unique opportunities available for Pakistanis and other international entrepreneurs to engage in Vision 2030.
The ceremony concluded with a mutual commitment from both sides to explore new partnerships and to strengthen the foundations of respect and cooperation, further solidifying the enduring bond between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, unified by a shared vision for economic progress and prosperity.
