Saudi Red Sea Authority Commences License Inspections for Tourism Activities
The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has initiated inspections for tourism ventures as part of its licensing process along the kingdom's Red Sea coast.
Starting with 14 checks in Jeddah, Jazan, and Al-Laith, these evaluations are key for accrediting marina and maritime tourism businesses under new regulations effective from November 5, 2023.
This regulatory development results from SRSA's collaboration with various sectoral stakeholders and aims to boost coastal tourism while prioritizing environmental conservation. Licensing will improve marina management, customer experiences, and safety for yacht enthusiasts in the Red Sea region.
Such licenses mark significant progress for Saudi Arabia's coastal tourism sector and align with the nation's Vision 2030 objectives. Established in November 2021, the SRSA continues to work with partners to enhance navigational and marine tourism activities in the region.
