Saudi Arabia's National Transformation Program: Driving Vision 2030 Forward
Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Program, launched in mid-2016, has achieved 34 out of 96 objectives of Vision 2030, according to CEO Thamer Al-Saadoun. With over 300 initiatives and support from more than 50 government entities, the program has advanced women's empowerment, environmental initiatives, the nonprofit sector, SMEs, and foreign investment. Leadership support, collaboration, and execution focus have been key to its success.
Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Program (NTP), launched in mid-2016 as the first initiative under Vision 2030, has been instrumental in achieving 34 of its 96 objectives, says CEO Thamer Al-Saadoun.
Speaking at the Global Project Management Forum 2024 in Riyadh, Al-Saadoun detailed the extensive scope and successes of the NTP, which includes over 300 initiatives and 79 key performance indicators (KPIs), in collaboration with more than 50 government entities.
Key achievements include empowering women, advancing environmental initiatives, growing the nonprofit sector, enabling small and medium-sized enterprises, and increasing foreign investment.
Al-Saadoun emphasized the significance of the forum in building capabilities essential for Vision 2030's success and credited unwavering leadership support, collaboration, change management, and execution focus as critical factors behind the vision’s achievements.
