Saudi Arabia Recalls 33,350 Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus Vehicles Due to Transmission Defect
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday the recall of 33,350 Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus vehicles due to a transmission issue.
This defect may cause the vehicles to roll forward even when in the neutral position, thereby increasing the risk of accidents.
The recall affects approximately 28,627 Toyota Land Cruiser models from 2020 to 2024, and 4,723 Lexus LX600 and LX500 vehicles from the same model years.
The Ministry of Commerce advised owners of these vehicles to contact Abdul Latif Jameel Motors Company for Toyota Land Cruiser owners, reachable via the toll-free number (8004400055), or Lexus owners, who can contact Lexus using the toll-free number (8001220022).
These updates will be provided free of charge.
The Ministry of Commerce urged vehicle owners to check the Defective Products Recall Center website (Recalls.sa) to determine if their vehicle's chassis number is included in the recall campaign.
If so, they should contact the aforementioned companies to arrange for the necessary updates.
