Saudi Arabia Condemns Forced Displacement of Palestinians from Gaza
Saudi Arabia has voiced strong disapproval this Thursday against Israeli far-right ministers advocating the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir proposed enticing Gazans to emigrate and reinstating Israeli settlements there, echoing Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's previous remarks.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry firmly rejects these suggestions, urging global intervention against Israel's repeated international law breaches. Qatar and Kuwait have also expressed severe disapproval, emphasizing that Gaza is Palestinian territory.
The UAE, which established diplomatic relations with Israel in 2020, sharply denounced the ministers' extreme statements as a threat to regional stability.
Condemnation has also come from the US, France, and the EU. Both Israeli ministers are known for their anti-Palestinian stance, with Ben-Gvir having a terrorism support-related criminal record and hate speech charges, and Smotrich, a resident of an illegal West Bank settlement, refuting Palestinian nationality.
