Alliance Francaise Khobar celebrates female Saudi entrepreneurs
The Alliance Francaise in Khobar marked International Women's Day by hosting a panel of female Saudi entrepreneurs on March 6, focusing on empowerment and triumph over adversity.
The event, attracting members of the community keen on learning from the panel's diverse expertise, featured discussions in Arabic, aligning with the center's language offerings in French and Arabic.
The panel highlighted unique insights from different fields: Adwa Al-Harbi, a veteran in the beauty industry; Amna Sidqi Bokhamsin, a novelist and pioneer in philosophical and musical education; and Dr. Laila Abualsaud, a medical doctor-turned-fashion designer.
Al-Harbi shared her 17-year journey in the beauty sector and her role as a Saudi trainer for the UN-affiliated Empretec program. She emphasized the need for creativity and flexibility for women in business.
Bokhamsin, founder of Yaqelon Education Co. and Yaqelon Higher Institute, highlighted the importance of recognizing the efforts of both professional women and those supporting their families at home. She emphasized success as a collective journey.
Abualsaud talked about her transition from medicine to fashion, advising the audience to seek knowledge, build networks, and nurture meaningful connections for collective progress.
