Royal Saudi Navy Joins AMAN-25 Maritime Exercise in Pakistan
Joint naval exercise aims to bolster international cooperation in maritime security amid global threats.
The Royal Saudi Navy commenced its participation in the joint naval exercise "AMAN-25" on Friday in Karachi, Pakistan.
This exercise is part of broader efforts to enhance international cooperation in maritime security and addresses pressing issues such as piracy and terrorism.
Organized by the Pakistan Navy, AMAN-25 has attracted naval forces from approximately 60 countries, making it one of the largest multinational maritime drills in recent history.
The exercise, now in its 9th edition, is designed to strengthen global collaboration among naval forces and improve coordination in maritime security operations.
The objectives of AMAN-25 include safeguarding economic waters, sharing operational expertise among naval forces, enhancing combat readiness, and preparing participants for complex maneuvers and counter-techniques.
These aims are particularly significant in light of rising concerns over maritime security threats worldwide.
The Royal Saudi Navy is represented in this multinational exercise with two warships, HMS Jazan and HMS Hail, in addition to specialized forces from the Marine Corps and the Royal Navy’s Special Security Units.
The engagement underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to regional and global maritime security initiatives.
Participants in the exercise will undertake various drills and scenarios aimed at fostering collaboration and improving responses to maritime threats, thereby contributing to the overall stability and security of international waters.
