Massive attendance recorded at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah as preparations ensure smooth operations for worshipers during the holy month.
In the first ten days of Ramadan, over 9.7 million worshipers have gathered at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah to partake in prayers and communal meals.
This surge in attendance reflects the mosque’s status as a significant spiritual destination during the holy month.
The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque collaborated with various relevant authorities to ensure that preparations were thorough and effective in accommodating the influx of worshipers.
Measures taken included the management of visitor flow with monitoring systems installed throughout the mosque to facilitate smooth movement within the premises.
Additionally, hundreds of thousands of attendees have taken part in iftar meals and participated in Isha and Taraweeh prayers, which occur nightly during Ramadan.
To accommodate the large crowds, carpets were laid across various courtyards and expansions of the mosque, enhancing the comfort of worshipers.
Furthermore, essential services, such as the provision of Zamzam water, were prepared in advance to meet the needs of the visitors.
The collective efforts of the organizing authorities aimed to uphold the sanctity of the mosque while ensuring a memorable experience for all participants during this sacred time.
