Head of Muslim World League Visits Guinea-Bissau to Review Medical Initiatives
Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa engages in health and religious diplomacy during his official visit to West Africa.
Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, visited Guinea-Bissau to evaluate the league's medical program and engage in activities aimed at enhancing religious and medical cooperation.
The visit was conducted at the invitation of Guinea-Bissau's Prime Minister, Rui Duarte de Barros.
During his stay, Dr. Al-Issa delivered a lecture focused on the league's contributions to healthcare in the region, particularly its collaborative efforts with the National Hospital in Bissau.
The Muslim World League's medical program involves conducting surgical operations and distributing medical supplies to support local healthcare services.
In addition to his health-related activities, Dr. Al-Issa inaugurated a Qur’an competition aimed at promoting religious engagement within the community.
As part of this visit, he was awarded the highest decoration from the government of Guinea-Bissau in recognition of his contributions to religious diplomacy.
The Muslim World League operates internationally to promote dialogue and cooperation among different cultures and religious groups, and this visit underscores its commitment to humanitarian efforts in West Africa.
