Israel Accused of 'Manufactured Malnutrition Crisis' in Gaza
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has accused Israel of deliberately restricting food and aid to Gaza, resulting in a malnutrition crisis with severe impacts on infants and vulnerable populations.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has criticized Israel for creating a 'manufactured malnutrition crisis' in the Gaza Strip by restricting essential goods and attacking civilian infrastructure.
MSF's report, based on an analysis from late 2024 to early 2026 at four health facilities in Gaza, highlights significantly higher prematurity and mortality rates among infants born to malnourished mothers, as well as spikes in miscarriages.
The charity points out that the situation remains 'extremely fragile,' despite a ceasefire since last October following two years of conflict.
MSF urges Israeli authorities to allow immediate unhindered entry of assistance into Gaza.
