King Saud University has been transformed into an independent, non-profit academic institution, following a royal decree issued by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
The university's board of directors will be headed by Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan, with Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng.
Ahmed Al-Rajhi as the deputy chairman.
The board members include several high-ranking government officials and prominent figures in the private sector.
The transformation of King Saud University is in line with the Crown Prince's vision to develop the university into a leading academic institution globally by 2030.
