Saudi aid agency KSrelief signs executive program with civil society organization to improve education infrastructure.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's aid agency, KSrelief, has officially signed an executive program with a local civil society organization aimed at constructing and restoring 13 schools in Yemen’s Lahj and Al-Dhale governorates.
This project is expected to benefit a total of 59,851 individuals, as per the report from the Saudi Press Agency.
The agreement was executed via a videoconference between Ahmed Al-Baiz, who holds the position of assistant supervisor-general of operations and programs at KSrelief.
The signing ceremony marked a significant step in enhancing educational infrastructure within Yemen’s rural and remote areas.
KSrelief's initiative involves erecting new buildings for primary and secondary schools, as well as upgrading existing facilities to improve learning environments for both male and female students.
In total, the project will introduce over 45 equipped classrooms designed to alleviate overcrowding issues prevalent in these institutions.
This recent educational assistance effort from KSrelief further solidifies Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian aid aimed at supporting education in Yemen.
To date, more than 1,200 facilities across Yemen have received support through similar KSrelief initiatives.
Additionally, the organization has been engaged in empowering women within Yemen by distributing vocational training kits to 25 females in Al-Mukalla, Hadramout governorate.
These kits provide training in areas such as food processing, tailoring, and handicrafts, thus enabling beneficiaries to generate sustainable income and support their families.
The project reflects Saudi Arabia’s dedication to empowering women and promoting sustainable development within Yemen through humanitarian intervention.
