ZATCA Foils Attempts to Smuggle 1,029 Kilograms of Marijuana into Saudi Arabia
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has successfully prevented the smuggling of 1,029 kilograms of marijuana into Saudi Arabia through two separate attempts.
The marijuana was discovered in incoming consignments at both King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Fahad International Airport in Dammam.
The ZATCA emphasized that the detection and inspection process during the shipment of express transportation led to the discovery of the illegal drug.
It also encouraged anyone with information about attempts to smuggle contraband to report it through official channels, either through the 1910 hotline from within Saudi Arabia or the +966114208417 number from outside the country, or through email at [1910@zatca.gov.sa](mailto:1910@zatca.gov.sa).
The ZATCA's efforts to prevent the smuggling of drugs demonstrate its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Saudi Arabia's citizens and preventing the negative impacts of drug abuse.
