Erdogan had arrived in Saudi Arabia as part of a three-day tour of the Gulf region, aimed at strengthening ties with regional countries.
During the official talks and bilateral meeting, the two leaders discussed the existing bilateral relations and several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Turkish president was accompanied by his Cabinet members and other Turkish officials.
Erdogan's visit to Saudi Arabia is significant as it marks the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Turkish president expressed his desire to further strengthen the relationship and finalize investment deals.
Addressing a news conference in Istanbul before his Gulf tour, Erdogan stated that Saudi Arabia had a special place in areas such as trade, investments, and contracting services.
He mentioned that the value of the projects undertaken by Turkish contractors in Saudi Arabia over the past 20 years was around $25 billion, and they would like Turkish companies to play a greater role in Saudi Arabia's large-scale projects.
Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have previously met several times and discussed various issues, including Syria, Yemen, and counterterrorism.
The two leaders have also expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between their countries in various fields, including trade, investment, and security.
The visit of Erdogan to Saudi Arabia comes at a critical time, as the two countries are working together to address several regional and international challenges, including the ongoing
COVID-19 pandemic.
