Princess Reema highlights effective role of women in defense industry
During the World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Ambassador to the U.S., Princess Reema bint Bandar, emphasized the vital contributions of women in the defense sector.
Speaking at the "Women in Defense" event, she noted the program's alignment with Vision 2030 aims to increase women's participation and influence in defense and security.
The program featured discussions on the challenges and successes of women in defense, with contributions from Maj. Gen. Adel Al-Balawi, Boeing's Heidi Grant, Amanda Stainer of WDS, and other notable speakers. Stainer remarked on the program's efforts to foster a diverse, robust defense community.
Concurrently, the Future Talents Program launched to guide new generations in defense and security careers, promoting opportunities in technical and scientific disciplines and supporting Vision 2030's goals to bolster human capital in the military industries sector.
This initiative anticipates educating over 8,000 students, consistent with the MIHC strategy to maintain a skilled workforce in military industries.
