Prince Abdulaziz Reelected President of Arab Olympic Union for 2025–2029
The General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees unanimously reelected Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal as president.
Riyadh - The General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees has unanimously reelected Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal as president for a four-year term from 2025 to 2029, during its 23rd regular meeting in Riyadh.
Additionally, the assembly approved Bahrain's request to host the 18th Arab Games in 2027, with the 19th edition set to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2031.
Prince Abdulaziz, who is also Saudi minister of sport, expressed gratitude for the leadership's support and commitment to advancing Arab sports and youth initiatives.
He emphasized the union's solidarity with Palestine and its ongoing support for Palestinian athletes.
