Saudi Aramco CEO Maintains Top Position in Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Ranking

Amin Nasser, CEO of Saudi Aramco, has secured the top spot on Forbes Middle East’s Top 100 CEOs list for the third year in a row.
The 2023 list, which includes 18 Saudi leaders among the prominent figures, reflects their significant influence on the region's economy.

Olayan Al-Wetaid of stc Group also made it to the top 10, and along with the others on the list, they managed companies with combined revenues of over $1 trillion in 2022, valued at more than $5 trillion.

Forbes recognized Nasser for pushing cleaner energy through various investments, such as in next-generation fuels and clean energy startups. Notably, four of the top 10 CEOs are from the energy industry, highlighting its central role in the Middle East.

The list also acknowledges CEOs for their dedication to environmental sustainability, with Al-Wetaid's efforts at stc Group mentioned specifically. The criteria for ranking included leadership achievements, innovation, company scale, and industry impact.

The third annual ranking features leaders from 22 different nationalities, with 23 from the UAE and 19 Egyptians. The banking sector boasts 17 CEOs, making it the most represented industry, followed by real estate, construction, and telecommunications. The top 10 alone showcase six varied industries, demonstrating a range of leadership across sectors.
