Saudi Arabia Hosts Fourth Saudi Media Forum Focusing on AI Integration
Event gathers global media professionals to discuss the fusion of media and artificial intelligence
The fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum commenced in Riyadh on February 19, 2025, under the theme 'Media in an Evolving World'.
The event has attracted over 2,000 participants, including 200 speakers from various sectors such as politics, energy, media, economics, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship.
The forum's agenda features more than 60 specialized sessions and workshops, alongside 11 initiatives and interactive experiences.
In his opening address, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Media, Salman Al-Dossary, highlighted the nation's transformation into an 'open global laboratory for big ideas', emphasizing the integration of smart media with artificial intelligence, big data, mixed reality, and virtual reality technologies.
Al-Dossary also outlined several initiatives, including the development of a non-profit media strategy, plans to host an international conference on the future of news in Riyadh, and the establishment of an artificial intelligence and emerging technologies laboratory for media.
The Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), running concurrently with the forum, showcases the latest advancements in media production and digital broadcasting technologies.
Notable global media and technology companies, such as Google, Microsoft, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Reuters, and Bloomberg, are participating in the event, providing a platform for networking and potential partnerships within the media sector.
