Saudi Official Highlights Achievements and Media's Role in National Transformation

Chairman of the National Transformation Program Committee underscores the vital role of the media in promoting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, chairman of the Saudi National Transformation Program Committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Development Fund, stated that over the past nine years, not a single day has passed in Saudi Arabia without an achievement.

He made this assertion during his address at the fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum held in Riyadh, where he called on the media to innovate in conveying the transformation journey the Kingdom is experiencing.

In a session titled “The Media Dimension of the Economic Policies of the Kingdom’s Vision: Transformation to Achieve a Global Vision,” Al-Tuwaijri highlighted the importance of Saudi Arabia’s youth as a key energy source driving the country’s future.

He asserted that the media is an essential tool that can significantly contribute to the Kingdom’s transformative path.

He emphasized that the transformational efforts under Saudi Vision 2030 encompass both oil and non-oil sectors equally, necessitating a media response that is integrated and innovative in sharing this narrative.

The forum discussed the crucial role of media in supporting the economic policies outlined by Vision 2030 and its function in showcasing ambitious economic transformations while increasing Saudi Arabia's appeal to global investors.

Al-Tuwaijri characterized the National Transformation Program as extensive, bringing together various ministries across multiple sectors to collaborate on achievements that have tangible impacts on society.

Al-Tuwaijri noted that those engaged in media related to Vision 2030 have begun to focus on annual themes aimed at assessing the measurable effects of the program.

He pointed out numerous examples that illustrate the positive outcomes of initiatives launched under the program, indicating a broad scope for media innovation in narrating the Saudi story.

He further emphasized the significance of media partnerships in the context of national transformation, particularly amid the rapid global changes.

Al-Tuwaijri highlighted the fluidity of media, which allows for diverse perspectives, asserting that the primary goal remains to create impactful communication that resonates with audiences.

The chairman articulated a core principle established by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which revolves around achievement, institutional collaboration, and consistent follow-up.

Although he acknowledged the storytelling efforts that have taken place over the years, he expressed that the comprehensive narrative of Saudi Arabia’s transformation remains to be fully articulated.

Digital media's role was underscored by Al-Tuwaijri, who viewed it as a crucial avenue for disseminating media messages effectively.

He remarked on the necessity of understanding how to craft content rapidly and engagingly, indicating a collective acknowledgment among Saudi entities of the significance of digital transformation in contemporary communication.

In conclusion, Al-Tuwaijri urged the media to engage in ongoing discussions concerning the nation's transformation story, reinforcing the importance of continually reflecting on the journey towards a future-oriented Saudi Arabia.
