Hamas Unveils Last Israeli Hostage as Part of Ceasefire Deal
The Red Cross has verified the release of the final captive, set against a backdrop of continuing tensions.
On Saturday, the Israeli military announced that the Red Cross had received a sixth Israeli hostage, Hisham al-Sayed, who had been imprisoned in Gaza for nearly ten years.
This transfer followed the earlier release of five other hostages by Palestinian militants on the same day.
The Israeli military indicated that the Red Cross provided the information about the last hostage and confirmed that he was headed to officials from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the domestic security agency in the Gaza Strip.
This event represents a crucial development in the ongoing ceasefire talks between Israeli authorities and Hamas, set against a backdrop of intricate regional tensions.
