Saudi Green Initiative Forum's 3rd Edition to Commence in Dubai on Monday
The third iteration of the Saudi Green Initiative Forum kicks off in Dubai this Monday, coinciding with the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28). Themed "From Ambition to Action," the forum highlights various environmental projects underway across Saudi Arabia, offering a yearly gathering for leading policymakers, influencers, and climate specialists to exchange insights and strategize on effectively tackling climate issues for a sustainable future.
This year's agenda will cover climate action financing, clean energy innovation, societal engagement in climate efforts, and the conservation of Saudi Arabia's terrestrial and marine habitats. Discussions will also revolve around sustainability, the role of finance in climate initiatives, tree planting, and environmental restoration.
The forum presents an opportunity to hear from a select group of global climate authorities and engage in dialogue on sustainability trends.
Launched in 2021 by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, the Saudi Green Initiative aims to combat climate change, enhance living standards, and safeguard the planet for posterity. It drives collective action towards three primary objectives: emission reduction, reforestation, and natural preservation. Supporting these goals are over 80 projects, representing significant investments in the green economy.
