Saudi Arabia has joined the presidency of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh's Africa Focus Group, along with the US, Morocco, Italy, and Niger.
The kingdom's foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, chaired a ministerial meeting of the coalition hosted in Riyadh and welcomed the establishment of a focus group to combat Daesh in the Khorasan Province in
Afghanistan.
Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of utilizing media, cultural, and educational tools to combat the terrorist influence and promote a vibrant, practical model for a better future based on tolerance, openness, sustainable development, and prosperity.
Saudi Arabia has also established several centers to combat terrorism and extremist ideologies, including the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal).
