Saudi Arabia Issues Penalties Against 18,838 Violators of Residency and Work Regulations
Saudi authorities take action against individuals and businesses violating residency and work rules with fines, imprisonment, and deportation orders.
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has issued a total of 18,838 administrative decisions in January 2025 against individuals and businesses violating residency, work, and border security regulations.
Penalties included imprisonment, financial fines, and removal orders.
Jawazat urged citizens and residents not to assist violators, emphasizing the importance of not sheltering, employing, or providing transportation to those breaking the law.
Authorities have called for public cooperation in reporting violations, with dedicated hotlines for specific regions of Saudi Arabia, including Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province.
The campaign underscores the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to enforce its immigration and labor laws.
