King Abdulaziz Festival Witnesses Remarkable Development
The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, held at the Saudi Falcons Club in Malham until December 14, has seen notable advancements this year. The festival, particularly the international falconer-focused Al-Milwah competition, has introduced new stages and widened the number of winners.
Over SR33.6 million ($8.96 million) is up for grabs in prize money. International falconers can join the 400-meter Al-Milwah contest by registering at the SFC headquarters daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until December 5. Falconry, a heritage sport with a 4,000-year global history, was recognized by UNESCO in December 2016 as part of the world's intangible cultural heritage.
