Officially: Al Hilal vs Sepahan Match Moved to Kingdom Arena Stadium
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced on Friday that the second leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 16 match between Al Hilal and their Iranian guests Sepahan Isfahan will be relocated to the Kingdom Arena stadium in the capital Riyadh.
This decision follows the approval by the Saudi Football Federation Competitions Committee on Thursday, which agreed to move Al Hilal "The Boss" team's matches in the Roshan League to their new stadium, "Kingdom Arena."
Al Hilal secured a valuable victory over Sepahan with a score of 3-1 on their home ground in the first leg of the quarter-final, which took place on Thursday evening in the continental championship.
Originally, the anticipated second leg clash between "The Boss" and the Iranian guest was scheduled for the following Thursday evening at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium, known as "Al Malaz."
However, the AFC also consented to the request of relocating the Al Hilal vs Sepahan encounter to the "Kingdom Arena."
It is worth mentioning that the "Kingdom Arena" hosted the Riyadh Season Cup 2024, which witnessed Al Hilal clinching the title after defeating Al Nassr with two unanswered goals.
