Umrah and Ziyarah Forum: Enhancing Pilgrimage Experience through Collaboration and Innovation
The Umrah and Ziyarah Forum, a three-day event held at the King Salman International Convention Center in Madinah, concluded on Wednesday.
Organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Program, the forum aimed to promote collaborations, enhance the pilgrimage experience, and improve services for pilgrims.
The agenda included six discussion sessions and 24 workshops led by 29 experts and specialists.
Topics covered were services for pilgrims and visitors, air travel advancements, financial systems, and housing and hospitality development opportunities in the Umrah and ziyarah sectors.
Discussions at the event focused on various aspects of services in Makkah and Madinah for pilgrims and visitors.
Topics included automation of port operations, improving worker efficiency, and the importance of services at holy sites and throughout their journeys.
Air travel services were a key topic, with a focus on expanding Madinah Airport to accommodate growing numbers of pilgrims and visitors, and providing comprehensive services beyond just rituals.
Financial services in the Umrah and ziyarah sector were also discussed, with a focus on international money transfers, developing financial procedures, and digital solutions for processing transactions.
