Doha Hamad Overtakes Singapore Changi as World's Best Airport in Skytrax Awards 2024

In the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2024, Singapore's Changi Airport, which had won the title 12 times, was dethroned as the world's best airport by Doha's Hamad International Airport.
Asia dominated the top spots, with Seoul Incheon Airport coming in third place and being named the most family-friendly airport, while Tokyo's Haneda and Narita airports took fourth and fifth places, respectively.

Hong Kong International Airport (HIA) moved up 22 positions to rank 11th in the world due to a rise in passenger numbers after recovering from Covid-19.

No US airports were in the top 10, with Seattle-Tacoma being the highest ranked at 24th.

Europe had a strong showing, with Paris Charles de Gaulle, Munich, Zurich, and Istanbul maintaining top 10 positions.

New York's JFK fell five places to 93rd, while LaGuardia rose from 57 to 33.

Melbourne remained the top Australian airport in 19th place, and London Heathrow jumped one spot to 21st, with Gatwick up seven to 48.

Japan's Okinawa had the biggest climb, from 199th to 91st position.

HIA, which celebrated its 10th anniversary of operations, was voted Best Airport in the World for a third time.

The Skytrax World Airport Awards rank the world's airports based on customer satisfaction.
