Saudi students excelled at the TISF 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan, winning nine awards amidst stiff competition from more than 600 participants from 27 countries.
They earned seven major awards in categories including engineering, environmental science, medicine, chemistry, and earth sciences, achieving second to fourth places, along with two special awards in physics, astronomy, and computer science.
In individual achievements, Kadi Jamal Al-Bouabid and Ghala Turki Al-Muabdi took second in engineering, Yara Abdullah Al-Wadaei third in the same category, Areej Abdullah Al-Qarni third in medicine and life, Noura Majed Al-Quraishi third in chemistry, Abdullah Fahd Al-Otaibi third in engineering, and Salem Awaid Al-Saadi fourth in earth and environmental sciences.
Ahmed Ali Al-Meer and Jouri Sultan Al-Busaili received special achievement awards in physics, astronomy, and computer science, judged by prestigious institutions.
TISF 2024, sponsored by Taiwan's Ministry of Education and the Taiwan National Science Education Center, is a platform for showcasing global student innovation and scientific talent at the secondary school level.
