Saudi-US Council Meeting Aims to Boost Trade and Investment
The 8th Saudi-US Trade and Investment Council meeting took place in Washington, led by Abdulaziz Al Sakran and Bryant Trick. Discussions centered on promoting bilateral trade, policy issues, and opportunities in e-commerce and agricultural standards. The Saudi delegation participated in several related events and included representatives from various ministries.
The 8th Saudi-US Trade and Investment Council meeting (TIFA) convened in Washington on Friday.
It was led by Abdulaziz Al Sakran, Deputy Governor of the Authority for International Relations, and Bryant Trick, Assistant United States Trade Representative (AUSTR) for Europe and the Middle East, with participation from both governments and the private sector.
Discussions covered bilateral trade promotion, policy and regulation issues, e-commerce, intellectual property rights, and agricultural standards.
A roundtable focused on private sector challenges and opportunities, especially for SMEs, and cooperation in innovation and technology.
The Saudi delegation also attended various related events, including ‘Middle East and USA: Investments & Opportunities’ and the ‘SelectUSA Investment Summit’, led by US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.
The delegation included representatives from multiple Saudi ministries and agencies, such as the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Energy, and the Public Investment Fund, among others.
