Saudi-Made Scroll Chillers: Johnson Controls Arabia Exports SR100 Million Worth to US, Announces New Factory Expansion and MOU with SEDA

A Saudi Arabian company, Johnson Controls Arabia, is exporting 300 Saudi-made scroll chillers worth SR100 million ($26.66 million) to the US for the first time.
This is a significant milestone for the company, as the domestic market for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and technology is growing but still small compared to global demand.

The chillers will be shipped from the Johnson Controls Arabia Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City.

The CEO, Mohamad Al-Shaikh, expressed pride in the achievement, stating that the Saudi-made products meet all the quality requirements for the US market.

A Saudi Arabian company has announced its ability to use local resources and talent to export SR100 million ($26.66 million) worth of products to the US market.

The company aims to increase exports from 30% to 60% of its production output over the next three years, aligning with the national industrial strategy and Vision 2030.

The company also announced its largest export order of 1,000 YORK Scroll Chillers for next year.

Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Johnson Controls Arabia and the Saudi Export Development Authority to establish a strategic account and enhance Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports on a global scale.

Johnson Controls Arabia broke ground on a factory expansion, backed by the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority.

The expansion will produce large water-cooled chillers with a capacity of up to 6,000 tons of cooling, the largest air conditioning product in the world.

The company's CEO, Al-Shaikh, emphasized their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local content through exports of Saudi-made products.

This expansion will contribute to the Saudi economy by exporting these products to 27 global markets, including the US.

Al-Shaikh of JCA praised the strong trade relations between Saudi Arabia and the US.

JCA is dedicated to the Saudi market, focusing on localization and job creation.

The company has achieved significant growth in local manufacturing, with 80% of sales coming from locally made products.

Exports account for over 30% of JCA's total production, showcasing their commitment to global expansion and market diversification.
