Saudi King and Crown Prince Extend Condolences to Jordan’s Monarch After Death of Former Premier
Riyadh conveys solidarity with Amman following the passing of ex-prime minister Zaid Al-Rifai, underscoring enduring bilateral ties
Saudi Arabia’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have sent official messages of condolence to King Abdullah II of Jordan following the death of former prime minister Zaid Samir Al-Rifai.
The messages were delivered by cable and conveyed the Kingdom’s deepest sympathy and solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom at this moment of bereavement.
In his message, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Mr. Al-Rifai, invoking divine mercy for the deceased and offering heartfelt sympathies to His Majesty King Abdullah II and the family of the late statesman.
The Crown Prince similarly extended condolences and prayed for mercy and forgiveness, affirming the longstanding fraternity between the two countries.
Mr. Al-Rifai, a prominent figure in Jordan’s modern political history, served as prime minister at two different periods and was widely respected across the region for his public service and leadership.
