Organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) with participation from 190 countries, this year's event at King Abdulaziz International Conference Center is themed "Regulation for Sustainable Digital Development." The summit marks a crucial juncture in digital inclusion under Vision 2030, underscoring Saudi Arabia's commitment to bridging the digital divide highlighted by UNCTAD’s World Investment Report 2025.
According to the report, current digital infrastructure investments are predominantly concentrated in developed economies, creating significant access and affordability challenges for developing nations.
