Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman sends a message of support and seeks to expand bilateral relations.
Bangladesh's commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia has been reaffirmed through the recent actions of its government.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, as part of his diplomatic efforts, sent a message of solidarity to the Kingdom amidst the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
This gesture was conveyed by Foreign Adviser Humaiun Kobir during a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed Elkhereiji, in Riyadh.
The meeting, held on Monday, saw Kobir present a message addressed to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, representing Bangladesh's unwavering support.
The envoy emphasized that the people and government of Bangladesh stand together with the Kingdom during these challenging times.
Furthermore, he highlighted Bangladesh's interest in enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in trade and energy sectors.
An invitation was extended for King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Bangladesh.
Elkhereji welcomed Kobir and expressed gratitude for Bangladesh's support.
This exchange signifies a strengthening of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The significance of this development is underscored by the fact that Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh commemorated 50 years of diplomatic relations last year, marking decades of collaboration.
