Walking Hour Initiative to Take Place in Al-Baha Tuesday

A public health initiative called the “Walking Hour” is set to take place on Tuesday in Al-Baha, under the patronage of Prince Hossam bin Saud, governor of the region.
The event will be supervised by the branch of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sports in Al-Baha and will see participation from a number of government agencies.
The Walking Hour aims to promote physical activity culture and spread awareness on the importance of walking as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Bandar Al-Ghamdi, director of the Ministry of Sports branch in Al-Baha region, confirmed to the Saudi Press Agency that the event is guided by the direct instructions of the region’s governor.
It forms part of programs and initiatives aimed at increasing physical activity rates and encouraging community members to adopt healthier lifestyles.
