The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) participated in the 29th session of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development held from April 20 to 24, 2026, in Geneva.
The event focused on 'Science, Technology, and Innovation in the Age of AI,' drawing together representatives from governments, international organizations, and the private sector globally.At the summit, SDAIA showcased Saudi Arabia's model for governing and advancing the artificial intelligence (AI) industry.
This presentation highlighted the Kingdom's leadership role in data governance and its efforts to develop dependable AI systems.
The Authority emphasized Saudi Arabia's active participation in shaping international governance frameworks concerning AI technology and its commitment to leveraging this field to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.This participation coincides with the Year of AI 2026, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global leader in emerging technologies.
