Saudi Arabia's Diriyah Partners with City Cool to Build Sustainable Cooling Solution, Reducing Emissions and Consumption
Saudi Arabia's Diriyah is set to reduce energy consumption and emissions with a new agreement with cooling solutions provider City Cool.
Diriyah Co. signed a partnership with City Cool, a subsidiary of Al-Rajhi Holding Group, to establish an advanced air station and distribution network, capable of delivering a maximum cooling capacity of 72,500 refrigeration tonnes.
City Cool will construct the plant and supply chain through a 25-year BOOT agreement.
This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's sustainability objectives.
The CEO of Diriyah Co. Group, Jerry Inzerillo, announced a new agreement aimed at encouraging investment and improving quality of life in Diriyah, referred to as "the Kingdom's jewel." The agreement focuses on reducing carbon footprint, increasing energy efficiency, and decreasing water consumption.
City Cool CEO Abdul Salam Al-Moubayed expressed pride in being involved in the project.
The goal is to provide a healthier life in Diriyah through sustainable solutions.
A high-ranking official emphasized the importance of preserving the environment while investing in cooling solutions, particularly in Diriyah and the Kingdom as part of Vision 2030.
This was in reference to a large partnership contract signed by the company, as mentioned in a SPA report.
The agreement highlights the developer's commitment to transforming Diriyah into a cultural, entertainment, educational, and artistic hub on a global scale, while maintaining the area's architectural identity.
