Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister of Investment to Keynote Automechanika Riyadh, Showcasing Kingdom's Automotive Transformation
Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister of Investment, Saleh Al-Khabti, will deliver the keynote speech at the Automechanika Riyadh conference in April.
The event, which will host over 340 exhibitors from 25 countries, will take place at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in Riyadh.
Al-Khabti's speech comes as Saudi Arabia's automotive sector undergoes transformation, with the Public Investment Fund becoming a major shareholder in Lucid, a US-based electric vehicle manufacturer, and striking a deal with Hyundai to construct a $500 million manufacturing facility.
Aftab Ahmed, chief advisor for the Automotive Cluster at the National Industrial Development Centre, will also participate in the conference.
In November 2022, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman introduced the kingdom's first electric vehicle brand.
The announcement came ahead of the Automechanika Riyadh trade show, which is being held under the patronage of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Investment.
The event, which will focus on parts and components, tyres and batteries, oils and lubricants, accessories and customizing, diagnostics and repairs, body and paint, and care and wash, is expected to provide valuable insights and support for the growing automotive industry in Saudi Arabia.
Bilal Al-Barmawi, CEO and founder of 1st Arabia Trade Shows & Conferences, expressed gratitude for the ministry's continued support and looked forward to a strong relationship throughout the event.
Aly Hefny, the show manager for Automechanika Riyadh by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, expressed that the high-caliber speakers joining the event is a reflection of its growth and significance in the regional automotive market.
Automechanika Riyadh offers a platform for knowledge sharing and networking, allowing attendees to engage with industry experts and stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and innovations shaping the automotive sector.
