Saudi Arabia, Jordan Condemn Attacks on Humanitarian Aid Convoys to Gaza by Israeli Settlers
Saudi Arabia condemned an attack by Israeli settlers on a Jordanian aid convoy headed to Gaza, marking the second such incident in a week.
The Kingdom's Foreign Affairs Ministry criticized Israel for failing to uphold international humanitarian law and systematically obstructing aid to Gaza.
Saudi Arabia called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for these violations and ensure the safe passage of humanitarian aid to alleviate the crisis in Gaza.
Jordan strongly condemned an attack on an aid convoy run by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, which was en route to the Beit Hanoun Crossing (Erez Crossing) in northern Gaza.
Israeli settlers were responsible for the attack, according to Jordan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Sufyan Qudah.
The Israeli government's failure to prevent the attack was considered a violation of its legal obligations.
The cargo of the convoy was tampered with during the attack, but the convoy was able to continue its journey and reach its destination in Gaza.
