Saudi Arabia: Record-Breaking Summer Heat Waves and Weather Fluctuations
The temperatures in Saudi Arabia have been on the rise as the spring season comes to an end and summer begins.
The Al-Ahsa Governorate in the Eastern Province experienced the highest temperatures, reaching a scorching 41 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
In contrast, the southern Asir region's Al-Soudah recorded the lowest temperatures at 21 degrees Celsius.
Other areas, including Makkah, Sharurah, Al-Saman, Al-Dahna Desert, and Rawdat Al-Tanhat, recorded temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) weather report, there is a possibility of weather fluctuations in some regions.
Thunderstorms, accompanied by active winds and hail showers, may occur in parts of the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Najran, Jazan, and Asir regions.
Additionally, active winds stirring dust and dirt are expected to continue in areas such as Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders Region, Hail, Madinah, and parts of the Makkah region.
The NCM report also predicts the potential for temperature fluctuations and precipitation in various regions throughout Saudi Arabia.
