Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - The Saudi Ministry of Health has unveiled the 'Hajj 1447 AH Health Awareness Guide,' targeting global pilgrims under the slogan 'Hajj in Health.' This initiative seeks to bolster preventive awareness and safeguard the well-being of pilgrims from various nations.
The guide is designed to support pilgrims throughout their health journey, addressing pre-Hajj requirements and offering guidance on-site.
It provides crucial information on protecting against heat exhaustion and heatstroke, preventing respiratory infections in crowded areas, and ensuring food safety to avoid foodborne illnesses.
The document also includes first aid instructions for emergencies before medical assistance is obtained.
Furthermore, it offers tailored advice for high-risk groups aimed at reducing potential complications and maintaining their health stability during the Hajj rituals.
Available in Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Persian, Indonesian, Turkish, and Malay, this guide ensures that health messages reach pilgrims of diverse nationalities and linguistic backgrounds.
The initiative falls under Saudi Vision 2030's Health Sector Transformation Program.
