Donald Trump revealed that both Russian and Ukrainian leaders have consented to his request for a three-day cessation of hostilities and prisoner swap.
This announcement was made via social media, indicating that the ceasefire would extend from Saturday, May 9th, through Monday, May 11th.
The period coincides with Russia's Victory Day, commemorating its triumph over Nazi Germany in World War II.
Trump expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, emphasizing that it involves a halt to all kinetic activities and the reciprocal exchange of 1,000 prisoners between both nations.
He credited himself for initiating this development, acknowledging President Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky's concurrence.
