Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong Strengthen Anti-Corruption Ties
Official talks and workshops held in Riyadh to enhance cooperation in integrity and transnational corruption prevention.
On February 24, 2025, Mazin Al-Kahmous, the President of Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, met with Danny Woo, the Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption in Hong Kong, along with his delegation, at the authority’s headquarters in Riyadh.
This meeting aims to advance the objectives outlined in a memorandum of understanding signed previously between the two entities.
During the discussions, both parties emphasized the importance of reinforcing cooperation to promote integrity and combat transnational corruption.
Woo was provided with insights into the key measures implemented by Saudi authorities to enhance transparency and integrity, while Al-Kahmous was educated on Hong Kong's approaches in similar domains.
Additionally, a four-day workshop was inaugurated as part of the visit, featuring experts from both Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong.
This collaborative effort is geared towards sharing knowledge and experiences in anti-corruption strategies and practices.
