Ministry of Environment Activates Hajj Field Plan in Makkah
The Makkah branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture initiates its operational plan for the upcoming Hajj season.
EDDAH: The Makkah branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has commenced the implementation of its Hajj operational plan.
This initiative necessitates collaboration among various governmental entities to provide pilgrims with high-quality services that adhere to standards of efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Waleed Al-Dughays, director general of the branch, emphasized that preparations included a retrospective analysis of past challenges, updating existing operational frameworks, and establishing a comprehensive risk management system.
The activation period for this plan extends until June 6 and encompasses Makkah, the holy sites, and support locations within the Jeddah governorate.
These areas include operations centers, abattoirs, public markets, and temporary shelters.
Al-Dughays highlighted that the plan's primary goal is to facilitate 'seamless coordination' among relevant authorities, ensuring effective response times during peak periods.
Field monitoring is a critical component of this strategy, aimed at enhancing response times and bolstering readiness to manage diverse operational scenarios effectively.
