ZATCA Prevents Captagon Pill Smuggling at Al-Haditha Border Crossing

Riyadh - The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle a substantial quantity of captagon pills at Al-Haditha border crossing.
According to ZATCA's announcement on Friday, over 154,000 amphetamine pills were concealed within a shipment of tents destined for the Kingdom.
The seizure was facilitated by utilizing advanced inspection technologies and security measures.Following the discovery, ZATCA collaborated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, leading to the arrest of five individuals who were intended recipients of the contraband in the Kingdom.
This joint operation exemplifies ZATCA's dedication to enhancing customs control over imports and exports, combating smuggling activities, and safeguarding society from illicit substances.This action aligns with one of ZATCA's primary strategic objectives: fortifying societal security by thwarting attempts to smuggle prohibited items such as captagon.
